You are all set for departure. You just need to get to the airport and hop on your Neos flight! But if you have any last-minute questions about boarding procedures and the documents required, you can find the answers here.

To complete the acceptance procedures, you must report to the check-in counters with an identity document valid for the destination you have booked. You must also have any other documents required by the customs and immigration authorities of the country you are travelling to. To visit the non-Schengen area countries, you are required to have a valid passport. In addition, prior to your departure, it is essential to ascertain whether an entry visa is required by the country you are travelling to. Please be aware that a driver's license is not accepted as a valid document for expatriation. Please ensure you are aware of what documents are required for your trip, as these may vary over time and/or be different in accordance with the type of traveller (adult, minor, nationality, etc.). In fact, if one of the requirements is not met or there is an anomaly, the airline is within their rights to deny boarding to the passenger, who has no grounds to seek compensation for any losses or expenses.

Passengers must make sure that they have a valid identity document that meets the requirements requested by Neos, the immigration authorities and other authorities at each individual destination. Please note that identity cards that are damaged or difficult to read may not be accepted.

ENTRY PROCEDURES FOR NON-EU COUNTRIES

A passport that is valid for the length of your stay is required for entry into Canada. It is recommended, in any event, that your passport be valid for at least 6 (six) months from the date of entry into the country. It is advisable to contact the Canadian Diplomatic and Consular Offices in Italy and abroad before travelling to the Canada to obtain up-to-date information on any potential changes to these terms.

For italian citizens, a passport is required, with at least 3 months' remaining validity.
For other nationalities, passengers are advised to consult the Viaggiare Sicuri website.

For all international travelers aged over 2 years, payment of the Airport Security Tax (TSA) is mandatory. The TSA amounts to €31 and must be paid before travel via www.ease.gov.cv or upon arrival at the airport in Cape Verde.

⚠️ From 1 July 2026, the TSA paid upon arrival at the airport will amount to €62.

In order to enter Colombia, all travelers must complete the Check-Mig form at the following link https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/es/DatosViaje, both for arrival and departure.

A passport is required to enter Cuba. It should be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of entry into the country. An entry visa is also required. The tour operator from whom you purchase your plane ticket typically handles the entry visa. If you are travelling independently, you can obtain a visa from the Cuban consular offices in Italy or from authorised agencies designated by the Cuban authorities. In any event, you need to obtain a visa (Tarjeta Turìstica) before your departure. Otherwise, you may be denied boarding.

It is also necessary to complete an online health form within 48 hours before departing from Italy. You can find the form at following link https://dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu/. The form will be checked during check-in when departing from Italy. The form must also be completed for infants and children.
Information Tarjeta Turìstica Cuba
- Until December 2024, paper and electronic Tarjeta Turìstica (in the form of a code that must be entered into the D'Viajeros) are accepted;
- Passengers will be able to purchase the electronic Tarjeta Turìstica from the same sales channels used until now (tour operators/agencies/consulates);
- Starting from 1 July 2025, the paper Tarjeta Turìstica will no longer be accepted.

A valid passport with at least six months remaining validity is required for entry into Dakar. For any changes to the regulations regarding the minimum remaining validity of your passport, it is recommended that you inquire in advance at the Embassy or Consulate of Dakar in Italy or consult with your Travel Agent.

Egyptian border authorities do not allow Italian travellers with an electronic identity card with an extension certificate (paper extension slip) to enter the country. Furthermore, the paper identity card is no longer accepted as of August 3, 2026. All passengers travelling with an electronic identity card must also have two passport photos with them at check-in, which are required to obtain an entry visa. The use of a passport is strongly recommended in order to avoid being turned away at the border. The passport must be valid for at least six (6) months from the date of arrival in the country.

A passport is required for entry into Jamaica. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the time of entry into the country. An entry visa is not required for stays of up to 90 days. Since 1 September 2023, it is highly recommended to fill out a "declaration form" in order to reduce waiting times for immigration checks in Jamaica. The form is available at https://enterjamaica.com and can be completed before departure from Italy.

A valid passport is necessary, with at least 6 months of remaining validity upon arrival if you are entering the country by land. If you apply for an eVisa (which only permits entry and re-entry by air), your passport must have at least 6 months of remaining validity from the date of your visa application submission. A visa is required to enter into India for short-term stays (less than 90 days) for tourism, business and medical treatment purposes.

Passports and other documents accepted for entry must be valid for a minimum of 90 days from the arrival date. Nationals of Italy with a normal passport must have an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) obtained at https://israel-entry.piba.gov.il/ Visitors must hold return/onward tickets if they have a passport or other documents valid for less than 6 months from the arrival date.

A valid passport with at least 6 (six) months remaining validity is required. For any changes to the regulations concerning the minimum remaining validity of your passport, it is recommended to inquire in advance at the Embassy or Consulate of Kazakhstan in Italy or consult with your Travel Agent. An entry visa is not necessary for stays not exceeding 30 days, for a maximum total of 90 days over a period of 6 months.

From January 01, 2024, Visa is not required to come to Kenya. However, any person intending to come to Kenya must have a travel authorisation (ETA), by registering on the website www.etakenya.go.ke. Those in possession of a Visa obtained under the previous system will not have to register again: Visas already issued will, in fact, also be valid in 2024. A passport is required for entry into Madagascar. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the time of entry into the country. All foreign visitors are required to obtain a visa, both for tourism or business purposes, for a total stay in the country of up to 90 days. You also need to have your return flight ticket in your possession. It is important to ensure that there is at least one blank page in your passport's section designated for entry visas. This page should not contain any stamps or annotations. The blank page is required to affix the temporary residence permit vignette upon arrival in the country.

A valid passport is required to enter the Maldives. The Maldivian Ministry of Interior requires that your passport be valid for at least 1 month for tourist visas. However, since flights with a layover might be necessary to travel to and from the Maldives, it is wise to travel with a passport that still has a validity of at least six months. A visa is required to enter the Maldives.

Furthermore, an online health form must be completed starting 96 hours prior to departure from Italy. You can find the form at following link https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ethd. The form will be verified during check-in when departing from Italy.

A valid passport is required to enter Mauritius, while a visa is not required for tourist or business trips up to 90 days in the country. You also need to have your return flight ticket in your possession.

For all passengers, infants and children included, it is recommended to fill out the ‘Mauritius All-in-One Travel Digital Form” prior to departure at https://safemauritius.govmu.org/

MEXICO: ITALIAN AND EU COUNTRY NATIONALS

Italian nationals travelling as tourists need to have an exit ticket from the country in order to gain entry into Mexico. This ticket must be shown upon arrival. Additionally, passengers must have a hotel reservation covering the entire duration of their stay. Failure to meet these requirements may cause the Mexican authorities to deny your entry into the country. For all passengers travelling for non-tourist purposes (work, studies, etc.), the specific requirements required by local legislation remain valid. You will be required to pay a departure tax ("Mex Tax") before check-in when leaving Mexico. Payment is required for all passengers. The fee must be made in cash and is 1700 pesos.

MEXICO: NON-ITALIAN AND NON-EU COUNTRY NATIONALS

All non-Italian nationals who are holders of a permanent residence permit issued by a Schengen Area country, can obtain a visa for tourist reasons directly at their destination. In such cases, the residence permit issued by a Schengen Area country must always bear the words "PERMANENT, UNLIMITED or EC RESIDENT", and an expiry date should not be printed on the document. Compliance with these requirements will be checked during check-in when departing from Italy. If the requirements are not met, boarding will be denied. Non-Italian passengers travelling to Mexico for tourism purposes are also obliged to provide proof of their departure plans and a hotel booking confirmation that covers their entire stay. For all passengers travelling for non-tourist purposes (work, studies, etc.), the specific requirements required by local legislation remain valid.

MEXICO: GOODS AND MONEY DECLARATION

In accordance with provisions 3.2.5 of the "General Foreign Trade Rules", all passengers arriving in Mexico carrying goods and money can declare the same by means of the following options:

Paper declarations can either be distributed by the flight crew during the flight or can be found in the customs area upon arrival.

MEXICO: DECLARACIÓN DE BIENES Y DINERO

De acuerdo con lo establecido en punto 3.2.5 de las "Normas Generales de Comercio Exterior", todo pasajero que arribe a México transportando mercancías y dinero puede declararlos a través de las siguientes opciones:

A valid passport is required to enter Oman. Your passport should have at least 6 (six) months' validity remaining on your date of entry to the country. A visa is not required for stays of up to 14 days. Visitors may not extend their visit. For longer stays, an entry visa must be obtained online at https://evisa.rop.gov.om/en/home

All incoming travellers must show their return travel document at boarding, otherwise they may be denied boarding. Dominican citizens and foreigners legally residing in the Dominican Republic or in possession of a visa are exempt of this obligation. A valid passport is required for entry. Visas are not required for tourist stays of less than 30 days.

Passengers travelling to the Dominican Republic must complete a declaration within 72 hours of their departure. The declaration can be found at the following link: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/. Upon completion of the declaration, a QR code will be generated. This code must be shown during check-in when departing from Italy. It will also be requested by immigration authorities in the Dominican Republic.

A valid passport with at least six months remaining validity is required for entry into Tanzania. For any changes to the regulations regarding the minimum remaining validity of your passport, it is recommended that you inquire in advance at the Tanzanian Embassy or Consulate of in Italy or consult with your Travel Agent. A visa is required to enter Tanzania.

Starting October 1, 2024, all visitors to Zanzibar (excluding residents) must have mandatory Inbound Travel Insurance from Zanzibar Insurance Corporation covering the duration of their stay.
The cost is 44 USD.

A valid passport with at least 6 (six) months remaining validity is required to enter Thailand. There is no visa requirement for Italian nationals staying in the country as tourists for under 30 (thirty) days.

Starting from January 1st 2025 all European passengers travelling to Tunisia must have passport, identity card will be no longer accepted

A passport is required for entry into the USA. Your passport should be valid for the length of your stay in the country. EU citizens who have an electronic or biometric passport can take advantage of the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). This program allows them to enter the United States for tourist or business stays of up to 90 days, or to transit through the country without a visa. Instead, they must obtain an electronic travel authorization (ESTA).

In order to enter Colombia, all travelers must complete the Check-Mig form at the following link https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/es/DatosViaje, both for arrival and departure.
NEW PASSPORT RULES
We would like to inform you that starting from 26 June 2012, it will be mandatory for all minors to have their own individual travel document when travelling within Europe or abroad.
It follows that starting from that date, all the registrations of minors in their parents' passport will no longer be valid.
At the same time, the passports of parents with registrations of minor children remain valid for the holder only until their natural expiration.
We would also like to remind you that it is the passenger's responsibility to verify the necessary documents for expatriation to third countries, such as passports, entry visas, customs formalities, and so on. Information on travel documents can be found on the websites of the Italian State Police (www.poliziadistato.it) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (www.viaggiaresicuri.it). You can also obtain information from the Embassies or Consular Offices of the relevant countries.

IDENTITY CARDS

All paper identity cards will definitively cease to be valid on August 3, 2026, regardless of the expiration date indicated on the document. Starting from that date, they will no longer be accepted.

Only for domestic flights or international flights with an EU destination will it be possible to travel with the provisional document issued to replace the electronic identity card (CIE).

NEW EU REGULATION 2017/458
We would like to inform passengers that as of 7 April 2017, Regulation (EU) 2017/458 has become effective. This regulation requires citizens of European Union countries, as well as of Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Iceland, who are travelling to or from countries outside the Schengen area, to undergo systematic checks by the border police to verify their identity, citizenship and the authenticity of their identity documents.
The border police checks mentioned above, which aim to ensure public safety, could potentially result in increased waiting times.
