What to see in Menorca
Menorca is famous for its beautiful beaches, but also has an interesting history to discover. The capital Mahón definitely deserves a visit; the picturesque seaside town has a large and suggestive port. Also Ciutadella, the second-largest city of Menorca, is worth a visit for its picturesque streets. Going up to Monte Toro, the highest point of the city, offers the chance to admire a wonderful panorama worthy of a painting! There's also a monastery of the same name to visit on Monte Toro.
The best beaches of Menorca
The entire island is famous for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water and fine sand. One of these is Son Bou, which is much loved by tourists and locals. Cala Mitjana, Cala Galdana and Macarelleta are also wonderful places with clear and transparent water; the breath-taking landscape that can be seen from their shores is truly unique in the world. Cala Pregonda and Cala Cavalleria Beaches are an exception to the rule for their red sand, which makes an incredible visual impact. Wherever you go on the island you'll find enchanting beaches: they are the real specialty of this magical place!
