Getting around Larnaca

Direct flights to Lanarca land at Larnaca airport, named after the local political historian Glafkos Klerides, a fantastic port to reach the interesting city centre. Visitors can use two means of transport to make the journey. The first choice is the classic taxi, which becomes essential if you arrive at the airport after 11 pm, the journey takes about 15 minutes, at a price of 15-30 euros. The second option is the bus, with six lines active from 6 am to 10:45 pm and tickets costing a maximum of 2.50 euros.

Larnaca offers tourists several interesting opportunities that are worth discovering. The true symbol of the third Cypriot city is represented by the Orthodox Church of Saint Lazarus, which features modest dimensions and a very simple and humble appearance. The Hala Sultan Tekkesi Mosque stands on a salt lake and its construction by the Arabs dates back to 648. The same body of water should not be missed as it features swans, flamingos and many migratory birds. The Fort of Larnaca and the historic centre of the same name are also worth a visit. The Larnaca district includes numerous beaches where visitors can experience moments of authentic relaxation. For example, Finikounda is immersed in a tropical environment and offers numerous entertainment opportunities. Kastella Beach can be reached on foot from the city centre and features grey sand and crystal clear sea. Makenzie Beach isn't bad either, with excellent facilities and the achievement of the prestigious Blue Flag.

Alchemies is valued for its tasty cocktails, while Glukolemono is perfect for those who want to taste the great local cuisine. The city's nightlife is also worth a mention, with numerous characteristic bars where you can meet new and interesting people.
