How to get around

Flights to Rhodes land at Diagoras Airport in Paradisi, 14 kilometres from the historic centre of the beautiful city of Rhodes. You can reach the main towns of the island by taxi, by bus or by hiring a car at the airport. You can use cars (the roads are almost all paved), taxis (not particularly expensive) or buses to get around the island. The bus station in Rhodes is located near the Nea Agora (New Market). Another alternative is hiring scooters and mopeds.

The main entertainment areas are located in the new part of Rhodes along the waterfront; here you can enjoy aperitifs on the beach, disco pubs, lounge bars and discos open all night long. There are also many restaurants where you can enjoy the typical dishes of Greek cuisine, both in the new part and in the old town. Famous nightlife locations frequented by famous international DJs in the summer are also in Kalithea, Faliraki and Lindos. Don't miss the Rock Festival in Lindos in July.
