How to get around Kavala

Kavala airport does not currently serve direct flights from Italy; there are many flights from other European destinations, and from the nearest airports to Athens. With a flight departing from Thessaloniki you will arrive immediately at the international airport of Kavala - Megas Alexandros, from where you can move by taxi or with a rental car. There are, of course, also bus services to the city! Once you arrive at your destination you can stroll and enjoy the endless wonders of the Greek landscape.

What to see in Kavala

Kavala is a young and enterprising city, sparkling and lively, but also full of history and natural beauty. The promenade is the perfect place to stroll and admire the beautiful sunsets. The ancient Panagia District, dominated by the ancient Byzantine fortress, is perfect for admiring the ancient part of northern Greece, as well as the Roman aqueduct that towers over the city. The imposing Imaret that protects the port is a marvel to be admired during your visit. The beautiful Greek-style houses make the whole area very traditional. Here you will breathe the true air of the most authentic Greece, while admiring some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world!

Best beaches

The Greek beaches are all amazing, and the beaches of Kevala are no exception. White or golden sands, crystal clear waters in an enchanting glow, dreamlike views: you will feel like you are the protagonists of a fairy tale! Vrasidas, Nea Iraklitsa and Keramoti are among the most popular in the region, but just approach the sea from anywhere to find beautiful views: try it to believe!

Typical places and food

There is little to add about what is already known about the inimitable Greek cuisine: its ancient flavors are still beloved, and the traditional recipes are among the most imitated in the world! In Kevala you can taste the most authentic tastes of Greece and live an unforgettable experience!
