CHECKED BAGGAGES

Checked-in baggage includes those articles checked-in for hold transportation and they are not available to the passenger during the whole flight. This baggage is weighted, tagged and registered on the passenger’s ticket and a receipt is given to the passenger. As provided by the current regulation and by the transportation conditions of the Carrier, it is forbidden to insert valuables, money, passports and other identification documents, jewellery a/o other fragile items (e.g. cameras, CD or MP3 player, camcorder, mobiles etc.etc.) inside checked-in baggage We would like to remind you that for security reasons it is strictly forbidden to give or accept baggages from other passengers.

CHECKED BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE

The bag allowance for checked baggage varies depending on the route and is specified on the ticket: short, medium, or long haul, except where otherwise specified (e.g., special flights or specific destinations). The baggage allowance can be pooled among groups of passengers traveling together (e.g., family or people in the same group or on the same booking). In this case, the baggage allowances of each passenger are combined to create a group total; it is important to remember that the total weight of the baggage for the same group cannot exceed the cumulative baggage allowance. Please also note that each checked baggage must not exceed the maximum weight of 32 kg (in accordance with IATA regulations).

Example: In a group/booking of 10 passengers, each with a baggage allowance of 1 piece with a maximum weight of 20 kg, pooling the allowance means the group can carry 10 pieces of 20 kg each in total. Therefore, if one member of the group has 2 bags and another has no checked baggage, the pooled allowance permits carrying the second bag without penalty.
