How to get around Keflavik

Flights to Keflavík take you to the nearby airport, which has the same name and is only five kilometers away from the city. Once you have landed, you can easily travel to other parts of Iceland, or take the first bus or taxi to the city. Keflavík is easily accessible on foot or by bicycle - ideal for exploring!

What to see in Keflavik

This is a city to discover and explore one street at a time! One of the biggest attractions is the whale watching from the harbor: a tour of about three hours that will allow you to admire the beauty of the Icelandic sea, and discover the endless wonders of the whales and dolphins that live there! Don't miss a walk along the paths that run along the city; the most beautiful is the one that leads from the town to the lighthouse. Walking by the sea, admiring the landscape caressed by the north wind while, in the distance, stands the lighthouse: all this will seem a daydream. Keflavík also has some very interesting museums, including the music museum and the Viking history museum: it’s ideal for getting to know a piece of local history!
