What to see
The focal point of Varadero is the princely beauty of its beaches. However, there are numerous alternative and complementary opportunities for fun and relaxation. They include the Municipal Museum of Varadero dedicated to the city's local history; Parque Josone, an artificial park where you can spend hours relaxing in the vegetation; the Delfinarium which will entertain adults and children alike; Cueva de Ambrosio, a cave embellished with cave paintings; the Varahicacos ecological reserve, where you can walk among unspoilt nature.
The best beaches in Varadero
Varadero beach is 21 kilometres long; it is ideal thanks to the quality of its white sand and its clear and warm waters, perfect for diving and snorkelling. Not far away there's also Playa Giron, with an incredible turquoise sea, and Carabelas, equipped with every service but also able to offer peaceful and quiet areas. A day trip to the beach of Cayo Blanco should also be considered: it's uninhabited and therefore a guarantee for relaxation and tranquillity.
