How to get around

Direct flights to Sharm El Sheikh land at Sharm El Sheikh International Airport. Getting to the main destinations from the airport couldn't be easier: you will find taxis available 24 hours a day at Terminal 1. Taxis can also be booked in advance, waiting for you upon your arrival. Alternatively, there's also a minibus service near Terminal 1 that will take you to the city centre in about 15 minutes.

What to see

There are so many things to do in Sharm El Sheikh. The beautiful Ras Muhammad National Park is 38 kilometres south of the city: a must-see if you want to enjoy some time immersed in nature. Another must-see is the Monastery of St. Catherine, the historical place where Moses is said to have received the Ten Commandments. Don't forget to visit Mount Sinai, a rocky mountain with spectacular views.

Best beaches

In addition to places of historical interest, Sharm El Sheikh has wonderful beaches with clear water and the incredible spectacle offered by the coral reef. Some of the best beaches are El Gouna, Hurghada and Soma Bay, where you can bask in the sun, swim and enjoy various water sports.

Naama Bay has plenty of bars and restaurants where you can try the traditional cuisine and typical dishes. This area is also home to other delightful beaches such as Viva or Cataract Beach.
